MONIC (MONITORING IGNITION CONTROL)

Automatic Monitoring

The MONIC system allows for automatic monitoring and analysis of the ignition voltage in every cylinder of a gas. The collected data are transmitted to the engine control system. The ignition voltages are displayed, illustrating the condition of the spark plugs. Irregular values are communicated to the customer automatically.

Features & Benefits

The ignition voltage signals are amplified by the rail-coil for analysis. A special shielded cabling system ensures trouble-free transmission to the MONIC monitoring unit, which collects and checks the signals, and transmits them once per second to DIA.NEŽ XT. The ignition voltages are compared in real time to preset limits. If the limits are exceeded, the display unit generates a warning message. The data is displayed numerically and in bar charts, similar to the cylinder exhaust temperatures.

Features of the MONIC system:

  • Engine fitted with rail coils
  • Cabling system for transmission of data
  • MONIC monitoring unit
  • Connection to DIA.NE® XT by CAN bus

Benefits of the MONIC system:

  • Automation of ignition voltage measurement
  • Increased efficiency of spark plug maintenance
  • Visualization of the spark plug condition
  • Reduction of the cost of servicing the machine
  • Increase in reliability and availability
