Liquid Filtration

One-Pass membrane filters for brine polishing systems eliminate costly filter aids

One-Pass™ membrane filters by GE are ideally suited for brine polishing systems — eliminating costly filter aids, as well as expensive, high-maintenance clarifiers, sand filters and precoat filters. They are also an efficient and cost-effective way to separate solids and liquids in many other processes and industries.

Effective and economical brine polishing
The One-Pass membrane filter, utilizing GE’s ePTFE membranes, is one of the most effective and economical means of brine polishing available. In most cases, the chemically treated brine can be fed directly from the treatment tanks to the GE membrane filters. Eliminating the processing steps found in other brine polishing systems reduces capital expenditures, maintenance costs, and waste disposal costs.

Advanced candle filter technology
The One-Pass filter is configured as a candle filter, with the membranes installed by experienced personnel. The candle elements contain no metal parts, so you don’t have to worry about corrosion and damage to surrounding elements. Our refurbishment program “re-socks” the candle elements, maintaining system integrity while cutting filter replacement downtime by up to 80%, compared to other membrane systems.

Benefits

  • Lowers capital expense
  • Helps reduce production costs
  • Helps improve product quality
  • Reduces downtime
  • Better for the environment, since there are no chemicals to dispose of like with conventional clarification systems
