3300 Overview, Data Acquisition and System Essentials

3300 Series Machinery Protection System

Still an Industry Standard for Condition Monitoring

These 3300 System essentials provide a number of connectivity choices for your 3300 System. Whether you want the ease and convenience of an embedded communications processor for connection to optimization and diagnostics software or a more traditional system monitor that can be optioned to interface to various control systems...we've got you covered.

Machinery Monitoring System Overview
System Overview
A comprehensive overview of the 3300 Series Monitoring System provides everything you need to know about your system.
3300/02 System Monitor
3300/02 Transient Data embedded (TDe) System Monitor
With embedded TDXnet™ communications processor functionality, the 3300/02 provides the easiest, most cost-effective upgrade path to the powerful System 1® Optimization and Diagnostic Platform. This monitor simply replaces an existing 3300/03 System Monitor, requiring no additional external hardware or separate power connections. An extended warranty program covering the remaining 3300 components in the rack is also available.
3300/01 System Monitor
3300/01 System Monitor
Supplied for spare parts only. This system monitor was offered from 1988 until the introduction of the 3300/03 system monitor in 1992, which featured enhancements such as support for four Keyphasor® channels instead of two, an enhanced serial interface for connection to plant process control systems, and an option for a built-in Dynamic Data Interface (DDI) communications processor. Consult the factory or your local sales professional for compatibility details.
3300/03 System Monitor
3300/03 System Monitor with SDI/DDI
This module provides functions common to all monitors in a rack such as alarm setpoint adjustment, alarm acknowledgement, power and buffered output connections for up to four Keyphasor® transducers, and capabilities that ensure the rack and its installed modules are operating correctly. It can also be ordered with an optional digital interface providing selected statuses and proportional values from the monitors in the rack to external instrumentation such as Distributed Control System, Programmable Logic Controllers, and other plant/process computers. An additional option exists to order the module with an integrated communications processor, allowing connection to System 1®.
TDXnet™
TDXnet™
This communications processor is used with compatible 3300 series systems (refer to 3300 compatibility guide) and is mounted external to the monitoring system. Data can be gathered from up to 24 channels in parallel using high-speed sampling suitable for steady-state and startup/shutdown machinery conditions. Ethernet communications are used for fast data transfer between the TDXnet and its host software.

Note: For most retrofit installations where 3300 racks are to be connected to System 1 software, the 3300/02 System Monitor with TDe is recommended rather than TDXnet.
TDIX
TDIX
This communications processor is the predecessor to TDXnet and TDe, performing many of the same functions. It is mounted external to the monitoring system and uses serial communications (rather than Ethernet as with TDXnet and TDe). TDIX is not supported by System 1 software and information is provided here for reference purposes only.

Note: For new or retrofit installations requiring connection to System 1 software, use TDe or TDXnet as appropriate.
DDIX/SDIX
DDIX/SDIX
This communications processor is similar to TDIX, but provides only dynamic data rather than transient data. It is mounted external to the monitoring system and uses serial communications (rather than Ethernet as with TDXnet and TDe). DDIX/SDIX is not supported by System 1 software and information is provided here for reference purposes only.

Note: For new or retrofit installations requiring connection to System 1 software, use TDe or TDXnet as appropriate.
TDIXconnX
TDIXconnX
This communications processor is intended primarily for connecting System 1 software to third-party monitoring systems (or control / instrumentation systems without compatible digital interfaces). It affixes to the side of a TDXnet communications processor and allows connection of individual hardwired points such as discrete alarm contact signals, dynamic signals, 4-20mA signals, and other signals. It can also be used for connecting System 1 software to older Bently Nevada monitoring systems without compatible digital interfaces.
Rackmate IX
2150/11 Rackmate IX
The 2150/11 Rackmate IX is designed to allow two 8-position (or smaller) 3300 racks to connect to a single TDXnet communications processor.

Note: Rackmate IX can also be used with TDIX and DDIX/SDIX communications processors; however, these communications processors are not compatible with System 1 software.
