Armor Modifications to Cables and ProbesAddition of armor to sensors, probes and cables allows our customers to use otherwise standard products in applications where a more expensive solution may previously have been needed. This often represents a huge initial cost savings, as well as residual savings resulting from less frequent replacement costs.

Variable-Size High-Pressure (HP) Feedthroughs
Some rotating machines have significant pressure between the inside of the machine case and the surrounding conditions where the extension cable exits. HP Feedthroughs allow the pass through of one or more probe extension cables, and will seal differential nitrogen pressure to 1000psi or more. Feedthroughs allow a safe and convenient means to route proximity probes inside a pressurized environment, while providing accessible probe connections outside the machine case. GE has a variety of standard HP Feedthroughs available, but we can also custom build many types to your specific needs.

Underwater Probes
In submerged pump applications, the reason that equipment failures often take users by surprise is that the transducer systems in use were not installed in areas where they can collect meaningful data…i.e. underwater, at the bottom of the pump. In order to allow customers the ability to place probes where they previously could not, and thereby provide meaningful diagnostic data, GE has created a number of probes that can be installed in the harsh, underwater environments that exist on submerged pumps.

Custom Case Designs
Since not all machines and applications are completely alike, GE can create custom probe designs that help you replace old designs that are no longer available as well as create new designs with custom geometries for special mounting and unique machine designs. By maintaining the ability to design and manufacture a variety of custom case and mounting designs, we can help our customers protect and monitor machinery assets that would otherwise be left without adequate protection.

Target Material CalibrationsUnderstanding the unique needs of our customer’s machinery is why we have over 700 materials in our calibration database. This means that in all likelihood, our sensors can view whatever it is you have in your machinery. If we don’t have a calibration done for the material you need, we’ll likely be able to get it for you.

Custom Probe Tips
In some machine locations, standard order probe tips are either to large, or lack the environmental durability that is required for the application. GE manufactures a number of custom probe tip assemblies that allow customers to use sensors on machines where either space or the harshness of the environment may have forced those machines to go unprotected in the past.
