Product Overview
The Bently Nevada product team has been balancing machinery for more than thirty years - initially with paper and pencil, then with hand-held calculator programs, later with DOS-based computer programs, and today with Bently Balance software. Bently Balance software incorporates an extremely graphical user interface that allows the user to simply "drag and drop" weight changes to a machine and perform "what if" balancing calculations ranging from simple to highly complex. Bently Balance also imports ADRE® for Windows portable data collector databases and data from System 1®. Other features include the ability to calculate, use, and manage multiple Influence Vectors, to manually enter data, and to handle up to 16 XY measurement planes (32 channels) and up to 12 correction planes.
Since our level of rotor dynamic understanding is so strong, we've built a tool that can correctly handle even the most complex balancing situations, such as compound rotors dealing with multiple speeds or ranges of speeds under different load conditions, while retaining “ease-of-use”.
Benefits
- Reduce maintenance costs
- Maximize plant availability
- Mitigate operational risks
Features
- Incorporates proven balancing methodology using calculated or manually entered influence vectors.
- Accepts placement or velocity data. Runout compensation capabilities provided for displacement data, ensuring balancing calculations are based on true dynamic motion, not noise.
- Uses a modern and highly graphical user-interface, with solutions presented in both graphical and numerical formats.
- Performs "what if" scenarios and graphical balancing solutions by simply "dragging and dropping" weight changes to see calculated polar plot responses across multiple planes.
- Calculates, uses, and manages multiple influence vectors.
- Handles your most complex balancing requirements - up to 16 measurement planes (32 channels) and up to 12 correction planes.
- Detects nonlinearities in response data.
- Provides effective balance solutions for multiple speeds or a range of speeds under different load conditions, or when a full set of influence vectors is not available.
- Provides graphical "weight maps" of known and unknown weights, including discreet holes and slotted configurations.
- Uses influence vectors that were calculated on one machine to be used to balance machines of the same type elsewhere.
