CycleLink™ Appears to Do Nothing When Used with Excel 2000

Symptoms

GateCycle users with Microsoft Excel 2000 might not be able to load the CycleLink add-in and may conclude that CycleLink does not work.

Cause

The problem is caused by Microsoft Excel 2000's default macro security settings. From Microsoft's security perspective, CycleLink appears to Excel 2000 as an "unsigned macro" add-in. As such, CycleLink is not loaded and no warning is issued if Excel 2000 is configured to use the "High Security Level" option.

Configure Microsoft Excel 2000 to use the "Medium Security Level" option, as shown below:

2. From the Macro flyout menu, select Security.
3. On the Security Level tab, click the Medium radio button.
4. Click OK to save your changes.
