GE Acquires Sondex plc

GE has completed the acquisition of Sondex plc, headquartered in Hampshire in the UK. With over 500 employees in 15 locations, Sondex has built a reputation for excellence in designing, developing and engineering high quality performance tools for the oil and gas industry with exceptional customer service.

GE has an existing portfolio of Measurement While Drilling (MWD) and formation evaluation technologies for the oil & gas industry. Sondex is one of the world's leading suppliers of downhole technology for oilfield service companies, with capabilities that will be highly complementary with GE Energy's current offerings. Together, the portfolio of equipment and services will expand offerings for our global customer base and provide GE a technology platform for continued growth.
