Special Gases

Waste Gas Disposal

Our gas engines are designed primarily to run on natural gas, biogas and landfill gas, but they can also run on a variety of special gases. We have demonstrated our expertise in this area with several successful plants. Since special gases are normally waste gases, using them as fuels for combustion engines represents an important contribution to the protection of the environment by reducing the use of fossil fuels and avoiding the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

There is considerable potential for the future use of plants and equipment from GE Jenbacher for the disposal of:

  • Industrial waste gases
  • Hydrogen
  • Wood pyrolysis gases
  • Flare gas
