On-Site Gas Chromatography & Laboratory

Full Range of On-Site Test Procedures

GE performs a full range of emission test procedures to measure volatile and semi-volatile organic emissions and control efficiencies. On-site emission measurements are performed using flame ionization and photoionization detector-based analyzers. These emission measurements use our custom gas handling and conditioning systems. We also perform on-site gas chromatography for certain applications. In some instances, test methods require sampling using trap- or canister-type collection techniques with subsequent laboratory analyses.

Our ISO 17025-certified quality assurance program verifies the results generated in-house and by subcontract laboratories. Our in-house laboratory reviews internal operations and techniques, the work of contract laboratories and the accuracy of our reports. Outside laboratories must pass our frequent and rigorous quality control audit to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. Our environmental support services ensure we apply published, recognized technical methods and standards, quality control, and new standards and methods used in environmental technology and law.

Our chemists and technicians are highly skilled and well-trained in the chemistry of laboratory analysis and standard methods prescribed by local, state and federal regulatory agencies. They develop independent methods when standard methods are unavailable.
