Burn fuel of greater compositional variation
With rising demand for natural gas and growth in LNG imports, the frequency and magnitude of variations in fuel composition and heating values are expected to increase. GE Energy’s OpFlex Wide Wobbe product is designed to address the operating challenges introduced by the increased fuel variability by eliminating the need to retune the combustor manually within +/-5% Modified Wobbe Index variation.
Model-Based Control (MBC) technology allows the control system to adapt to varying operating conditions in real time, simultaneously helping to protect lean blow-out margin, maintaining emissions, and optimize performance.
