This course is intended for customer personnel concerned with day-to-day on-site operations and maintenance of the GE LM6000 aero derivative gas turbine. The purpose of the training is to provide the knowledge required to ensure consistent, trouble-free performance from the engine and its associated equipment.
Course Content
General familiarization with basic gas turbine structures, functions, interfaces and operating characteristics
Engine airflow
Engine systems including lubrication, fuel, variable geometry, instrumentation and electrical
Introduction to LM6000 control and protection systems
Maintenance practices for LM6000 gas turbines
Use of the applicable GE operation and maintenance manual
Use of the Illustrated Parts Breakdown Manual
Prerequisites
This course is offered to owners and operators, and the employees of owners of the LM6000 gas turbine.
As instruction is in English, a reasonable ability to read and understand English is required.
