What will I learn from this course? This course offers instruction on the hardware of the MODI and MODII Electrical Cabinet Actuator. The course material and exercises provide training on mechanical, hydraulic and electronic sections of Electrical Cabinet Actuator. MODII modules will be used for the demonstration and calibration of the Electrical Cabinet Actuator. Lectures and hands-on exercises provide for a thorough understanding of the equipment. This course will cover: Disassembly and reassembly of the pilot control assembly, linkage, pilot valve, distributing valve, pressure regulators, flow regulators and pressure reducing valve associated with the pilot control assembly. Calibration of oil motors, pressure reducing valve, pressure regulators, gate position/gate limit indicators, power supplies, speed switches, rotation telemetry, speed sensor, proportional, integrator derivative and power amplifier modules. NOTE: Pumps, unloader valve and pressure tanks are not covered in this class, but any questions pertaining to these items will be addressed. Who should attend?Engineers, technicians, and other qualified personnel concerned with operations and maintenance of Electric Hydraulic Actuator in the Hydro Power industry. PrerequisitesA basic understanding of turbine or plant equipment and operations.
