Artificial Lift Controls
The ability to control an ESP system is directly tied to increased system protection & run-life. GE provides two ways to control your ESP motor from the surface—using a switchboard or a Variable Speed Drive. Switchboards allow you to turn the motor on & off at the flip of a switch while Variable Speed Drives(VSD) allowing gradual increases motor speed. Using a combination of these surface controls, downhole sensors, and “intelligent” control software, operators GE’s Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics(RM&D) products provide real-time data from ESP equipment performance either onsite or remotely, allowing operators to make critical production decisions.
Features & Benefits
GE’s surface controls and RM&D systems offer:
- Pump and motor protection in demanding applications
- Outdoor enclosures for 122°F ambient operating conditions
- A standardized operator interface and centralized logic and control
- Fault diagnostics and control logic validation
- Full-color human machine interface (HMI)
- Efficient remote monitoring and control using an advanced SCADA interface with a configurable Modbus® Map
