Hydril Pressure Control Choke Valves
GE Oil & Gas offers two high performance Hydril Pressure Control choke product lines. “Sleeve” design valves are for critical service applications and “plug” design valves are for moderate to severe applications. Standard models in the sleeve design line are the CFB, BFB, and BFC. Standard models in the plug design line are the PRB and PRC.

Hydril Pressure Control chokes are known for superior performance in the field, which can be attributed to the benefits of the design that include:
- An extended seat nozzle in the BFC, BFB, and PRB models contains the destructive energy along the flow path within the trim for additional valve body protection.
- GE Oil & Gas' patented seat seal in the BFB and BFC models provide positive shut-off.
- Interchangeable trims between the BFB and PRB without modification of the valve body.
- Interchangeable trims between the BFC and PRC without modification of the valve body.
- GE Oil & Gas' patented Stem Seal Stack which provides constant radial loading and allows redundant sealing in a standard seal gland.
- Balanced trim designs that substantially reduce the torque needed to operate the valve.
- Large annulus areas around trim which decrease potential for erosion.
- 2" in-line sleeve choke valve also available.
