Hydril Pressure Control MuxLift
The Hydril Pressure Control MuxLift System provides a quick and safe method to maintain the packer seals on the LMRP and Stack wedge stabs. The system raises the subsea control pod from its position on the LMRP receiver and provides a mechanical lock in the raised position for safety. The MuxLift eliminates the need to remove the pod from the LMRP to perform maintenance, saving time and avoiding potential hazards in lifting and transporting the pod to another location on the rig. The MuxLift system can be simply added to all systems.
Features & Benefits
- Two robust stainless steel double-ended cylinders located at opposite corners of the Pod
- Two stainless steel guide rods on the corners opposite the cylinders
- Cylinder rods and guide rods that allow for positive locking of the pod in the raised position, providing a redundancy to ensure safety.
- A small control assembly that provides a proportional valve for safe and consistent speed control, a counterbalance valve for safe load holding, and a flow divider to provide sequential and smooth operation of the cylinders. This assembly can be carried by hand to an operating location or permanently mounted.
