LDPE Hyper Compressors
Series "P" hyper compressors are specifically designed for ethylene compression in Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) production plants. Delivery pressures range up to 3500 bar, the highest pressure required in any industrial process. The most severe operating conditions require a unique architecture for both the crankcase and cylinders: special rods ("plungers") are used as single acting pistons. Most plungers are made of solid tungsten carbide, a material that is extremely hard and wear resistant, but extremely brittle as well.
