VetcoGray RL-1S

The RL-1S is a self-locking, threaded connector. It's the one thread start version of the RL-4S connector.  A dual o-ring version is available to prevent sea water ingress to the thread for increasing the fatigue life of the connector. The connector has field proven aplication records, including highly deviated deep wells since 1985. Due to the connectors similarity to the RL-4S connector, a small identification groove is cut on both the pin and box connectors just below the elevator shoulders.
