VetcoGray SMAC
The hydraulically released Sub-Mudline Abandonment Connector (SMAC) operates in standard applications for use in approximately 300 to 400 meter water depth and in deepwater applications to 1,000 meter water depth. The SMAC separates 30" by 1-1/2" wall by a 56" conductor pipe approximately 3 to 5 meters below the mudline. The SMAC connector can withstand minimum 2,000,000 ft-lbs bending, by 5,000,000 lbs tension. This connector safely supports the conductor running operation. A loss of hydraulic lines will not cause premature disconnect.
