Benefits of Surface vs. Depth Filtration
With traditional filter fabrics, depth filtration restricts airflow. Until a good porous cake is formed - and even after it has - particulate can pass through into the fabric. As particulate gets trapped, airflow is restricted, and differential pressure is elevated. More frequent cleaning can be necessary, and bleed through immediately thereafter can occur. Filter bags laminated with Preveil membrane don't require traditional dustcake build up. The microporous membrane is immediately effective at capturing even the smallest particulate. This can result in reduced energy consumption, higher process throughput, and reduced compressed air costs.
