LM2500 STIG Aeroderivative Gas Turbines
Fully Flexible Operating Cycle
Steam Injected Gas Turbine (STIG) systems operate with an enhanced cycle that uses large volumes of steam to increase power and improve efficiency. In the STIG cycle, steam is typically produced in a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and is then injected into the gas turbine.
The site at which steam is injected into the gas turbine differs according to the design of the particular model. In the LM2500®, steam is injected into the high-pressure section via the combustor fuel nozzles and compressor discharge plenum.Features & Benefits
- Direct-drive for 50 Hz or 60 Hz power generation
- Variable steam injection rate
- Absorbs excess steam when process demand is low
- Injects maximum steam when electric prices are high
- 25 percent more power than LM2500
- Ideal for cogeneration
- Easy on-site maintenance
- Dual fuel capability (distillate or gas)
