Downhole Electric Cutting Tool (DECT200)
DECT is the first pipe severing tool which meets industry demands for a safe, high precision and reliable, non-hazardous pipe cutter. DECT200 has been developed specifically for high temperature environments.
The DECT200 can be run on Heptacable Wireline or can be Tractor deployed. Once the tool is positioned on depth, anchors are set and the cutting operation is initiated. The rotating cutting head is at the bottom of the tool and its outputs are monitored at surface. Where a precise depth of cut is required the travel of the cutting tip can be limited.
