Downhole Electric Cutting Tool (DECT001)
The Downhole Electric Cutting Tool (DECT001) is a safe and reliable tool for cutting tubulars cleanly with precision. No hazardous chemicals or explosives are used.
The DECT can be wireline or tractor deployed. Once the tool is positioned on depth, anchors are set and the cutting operation is initiated. During the cutting operation various tool parameters are monitored in real-time and the travel of the cutting tip can be controlled with precision.
The result is a clean cut of lathe quality. As a consequence the section of pipe remaining downhole can be fished easily. The DECT is offered as a call-out service provided by qualified engineers.
