Power plants can be located in deserts and arid environments with high levels of particulate; even plants situated in rural areas can be subjected to high amounts of particulate, often related to seasonal agricultural processes. These contaminants can significantly impair the performance of a turbine. This self-cleaning system allows continuous operation at a low and stable pressure drop, even when subjected to very high levels of particulate. A key feature is the system’s adaptability - it can be supplied in a variety of configurations to enable optimum use of available plant space. Filter cartridges are available with various media options including Nanomedia technology, fully synthetic media, and a synthetic/cellulose blend.
